The Tigermen Den

Promoting a Night of Jazz and Secret Indulgences.

Role: Art Direction, Design

In collaboration with Lillian Flynn

The Problem

The Tigermen Den, a historic event space and social club in New Orleans, was looking for a series of posters, flyers, and social media templates to promote their jazz speakeasy events. The owner also wanted a style guide and library of elements that she could use when creating future forms of communication.

The Insight

People want an escape to simpler times. By aligning the jazz speakeasy events with a 1920s and vintage aesthetic, people would be enticed to attend for an immersive and transportive experience.

The Solution

A festival poster system that conveys the dynamic nature of moving images. This approach involved depicting scrolling movie credits and scanning the feature film posters while distorting them to create a sense of movement.
